Hello:
My name is Mr. Stephen Wojnar and I am the Behaviorist at Michael E. Smith Middle School. I am in my 5th year and I work with children in all of our class levels, grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. My counseling background is very extensive and varied. I also currently work as a Mental Health Clinician at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) in Holyoke.
I work very closely with our children and their families to help facilitate a successful academic school experience. In tandem with the students, their parents/guardians, and outside supporting agencies where involved, I help promote the emotional, social, psychological, and behavioral well-being of our children and their families.
I am a member of several IEP (Individual Educational Plan) Teams and provide direct service to several of the students on theses plans. In addition, through referrals from teachers and staff, parents/guardians, and the children themselves, I see many of our other students on a weekly or on an as needed basis.
